Aaron Andrew Hunt

The Art of Old is Modern Art

I'm a composer and teacher of counterpoint. My works include The Apprentice of Fugue, two books of 24 Preludes and Fugues, The Equal-Tempered Keyboard (microtonal Preludes and Fugues), two books of organ music, and choral and instrumental works.

I'm also recognised for having designed a microtonal theory, notation system (H-System), and keyboard (Tonal Plexus) based on a combination of ancient tuning theory and modern research in psychoacoustics and data visualization.

Additionally, I develop software for music and publishing.

In 2016, I left my home country, the United States, and moved to Germany. Prospective students from anywhere in the world are invited to inquire about correspondence lessons through this website.
